Siberian Larch shutters are supplied in a wide range of multi-layer oil stains and lacquers – ensuring a beautiful, hard wearing and easy to maintain shutter backed by a 3 year warranty on the finish. Several stile and louvre options are available including the choice of louver, solid, board and batten or combination panels. Furthermore Norman Europe’s exterior shutter programs are architecturally sympathetic to traditional and contemporary shutter designs of Germany, France, Austria, Spain, Italy, Holland and Greece. Since the introduction of the energy performance certificate (EPC) architects, contractors and landlords have to develop designs and ideas based on regulating CO² emissions and increasing energy efficiency. If just dressing up a traditional home or designing a functional external sunscreen for a modern commercial building, Norman Europe’s siberian larch shutters, can contribute to achievement of a higher class within the EPC and therefore add value to any project. With a very low thermal conductivity our exterior shutters help insulate dwellings, providing functional protection against the elements and a lasting architectural statement.
Besides its insulating features Siberian Larch is a wood species that also matches all other requirements for exterior shutters. Siberian Larch, also called the Tree of Eternity, is due to its high density, naturally resistent to rot and decay as well as of impressive dimensional stability. Long term performance and low maintenance are guaranteed and make larch an excellent building material for external applications. Best proof for this is probably its use in the construction of the ancient city of Venice. Siberian Larch also convinces by its extraordinary beauty which results from a tight grain and a warm play of hues and shades from golden brown through yellow and orange. On top of this, Siberian Larch is a highly sustainable wood species, with a green story to tell for reducing energy consumption, greenhouse gases and environmental pollution.
Whatever the design brief calls for, be it a functionality, cost, environmental responisbility, lead time, historic replication, durability or simply plain good looks, Norman Europe’s Siberian larch shutters provide the perfect solution.
